New Years felt like yesterday but here we are in February. Here are the latest developments.
First off, Fifth Ape will be hosting a natural movement and parkour seminar on February 5th at CrossFit Durham. This three hour course will cover a wide variety of skills in a fun, approachable, and progressive manner. You can find out more information at CrossFit Durham.
Come join the Parkour and Freerunning Club of NCSU at Pullen Park (408 Ashe Avenue) on February 5th between 9:30a 12:30p for some community service. The local park is under renovation with some help needed to remove bamboo and install gravel. The club has worked with Raleigh Parks and Recreation before - cleaning up parks, preparing gardens, and building playgrounds.
The Raleigh School of Gymnastics is now offering both teen and adult parkour classes coached by Stephen Carr. If you're ever in the area, stop by for some fun on Sundays at 6:00p-7:00p (Teenagers) or 7:00p-9:00p (Adults).
Rumor is that Virginia Tech's parkour club will be coming down February 13-14th to Raleigh.
A handful of individuals from all around the state are working on organizing the next state jam. More than likely, this upcoming meet up will be held in the spring. More information will follow soon as the guys progress in planning.
