We're almost closing on the 2010 year as we've reached October. It's been ages, roughly a year or so, since we've worked on frontpage material but we're back. A new school year has started, more people are out practicing, and the weather suddenly dropped into cool 50s. Most importantly, we need to address the next state jam.

First off, it is happening soon. We were set back as some clubs have yet to organize as well as having certain universities asking us to stay off their campuses as a big practicing group. At the moment, we are working with Colin Pistell (The Fifth Ape) to host something on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus sometime early November. Updates will be given out soon, trust us, we want to make this happen as soon as possible!
The "Survive Raleigh" event was incredibly successful with over 650 people attending from NCSU, Virginia Tech, and North Carolinian locals! The NCSU and Virginia Tech parkour clubs began at the Belltower promptly at 10:30PM with close to forty zombies. Within two hours, almost two thirds of the humans were caught. By 2AM, five humans had successfully survived by hitting all checkpoints and making their way back to the tower. Brian Grose of the NCSU parkour club "killed" twenty humans, earning him the most kills of the night award. You can read more about the event on NCSU's paper, The Technician or watch a video edited by one of the event planners on Facebook.

Both Andy Barrette and Jonathan Boswell released some videos recently. In "Andy Barrette NCSU 2010" he performs one long run all around the university campus edited to a song he mixed himself. In "NCSU Parkour 2010 Jonathan Boswell" Mind703 demonstrates some recent clips of movement on a warm September night. Back at home after a month's visit to Europe, Duncan Germain has written an article, "The Stride Revolution", as well as uploaded a new video, "One". Be sure to check all three videos out and subscribe!
On another note, a big happy birthday to Nick McLamb (Oct 8th), Regenia Spangler (Oct 27th) and Renato Varga (Oct 30). Be sure to congratulate them.
At the moment, the "Library" is under construction as videos are being moved to another account. We will be hosting the community's videos on NCParkour and will be moving the conditioning videos to NCPKLibrary. Be sure to subscribe!
That's it for now. Check back next month for more pictures and updates. We will be posting information about NCPKJ15 shortly. Thanks for taking the time to read!
